The Food Dispensary is a kitchen of real people working with real ingredients.

We are a team of chefs dedicated to the crafts and traditions of the kitchen.

That sounds straightforward enough, but in today’s whirlwind of convenience, we feel that the skills and efforts of the kitchen are the first to suffer.

Our products provide a delicious, affordable and simple meal; yet behind them are hours spent by us taking all the components and championing them. Everything is handmade. From the ricotta to the pancetta. Even if we need a spice mix… we make it all. Our pasta is our own; shaped, cut and turned with our own hands.

It’s not just that we cook so that you don’t have to, but that you can trust behind each offering there is a level of craftsmanship that gives us so much satisfaction.

That is a lot to pack into a convenient meal, but like the simple lasagne on the family table it is informed by generations of evolution, skill and preparation.

Spinach + Ricotta Cannelloni

Ricotta made with local milk, actual lemon juice and then carefully watched on the stove. The finest English spinach. Fresh cannelloni rolled from our own pasta and shaped by hand. A simple tomato sugo flavoured with basil and zest. Italian Grana Padano to finish.

Traditional Ragu Lasagne

A traditional ragu of slow cook beef shin and pork neck in a sauce enriched with whole San Marzano tomatoes. Real Italian cheese. A classic stove top béchamel. And most importantly, the pasta, ricotta and pancetta all created by us.
